The Authentic Algarve: Market Trip

We want to give you the chance to sample the traditional events and culture of our region... so we'd like to take you on a trip to the Loulé traditional flee market. This is the perfect opportunity to experience something typically Algarvian, to take in the sights, sounds and smells; to meet the locals and enjoy the exciting local produce.

Pre-booking 24 hours before is necessary due to limited number of seating in the shuttle bus. Transportation to and from the market is complimentary for Hotel guests. Departure time from the Hotel: 09:45 hours. Contact the Front Desk (Ext. 9) to book.

Boxing Day Charity Cookbook

The Dom Duarte Grill Restaurant ~ 15:30 pm

Christmas time: a time for giving and showing how much we care about our fellow beings. So with this at heart - and in the name of charity and solidarity - we're inviting guests for a cooking lesson with one of our expert Chefs! Our Chef will teach you how to make an array of delicious cookies and sweet pastries, which once baked, will be given to a nursing home (ASCA) in Almancil.

Yes, Boxing Day, the name that some historians say comes from the tradition of putting Christmas leftovers in boxes to give to those in need. And seeing as you baked cookies and sweet pastries for the local old folk during the morning - in the name of solidarity - we are now giving you the opportunity to come with us and personally give these boxed sweets to the local nursing home, ASCA.

Unknown to most people who visit the Algarve, Faro offers an interesting and unique cultural experience. This is a trip to visit the historical centre, the Municipal Museum of Faro and the connection of the old city to Ria Formosa. Discover Faro by foot in the company of some of our staff members, who will be at your disposal to answer any questions or curiosities you may have.
